Frequently asked questions
What is CarrierDaily?
CarrierDaily is a daily CSV of new FMCSA trucking applicants and newly granted motor carriers in all US states, each flagged by whether liability insurance is on file.
Who is it for?
It is built for commercial truck insurance agents who quote new trucking companies.
Where does the data come from?
It comes from public FMCSA records. CarrierDaily is not affiliated with FMCSA or USDOT.
How often is it updated?
Every business day.
What does "no insurance on file" mean?
No BIPD liability filing appears in FMCSA records for that company yet. It doesn't mean the company lacks coverage. Applicants must file liability insurance before FMCSA grants authority.
What is a new MC number?
An MC number is the docket number FMCSA assigns to a company applying for interstate operating authority.
What fields are in the CSV?
Business name (individual applicants' names are redacted), docket and USDOT numbers, state, authority type, application or grant date, and whether liability insurance is on file. Paid plans also include business phone and business email from FMCSA filings where available, and officer names for registered companies. Free pages and the free sample have no phone numbers or emails. Individual applicants' rows never include a name or street address; paid plans may include the phone and email they filed with FMCSA. We flag numbers that are likely mobile so you can follow calling rules.
How much does it cost?
All states cost $79 a month or $790 a year. Team costs $149 a month. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial. Prices are plus applicable tax.
Is there an API?
No. Delivery is a CSV file and email.
Can factoring companies use it?
Factoring companies can use it to find newly authorized carriers to market their services to.
Can ELD, fuel card and other vendors use it?
Yes. Vendors can use it to find newly authorized carriers to offer their products to.
How do I remove a record?
Use the removal request page at carrierdaily.com/removal.
Can I see free data?
Yes. State and daily pages show free counts; individual records are for subscribers.
