What are shared-identifier matches
Phone, address, email domain and officer names matched on one-way hashes across every DOT record.
What the public record shows
- Each carrier's Census phone, cell, physical and mailing address, email, email domain (free webmail excluded) and officer names are normalized and hashed; matches are computed on the hashes, so no identifier value is stored or shown.
- A match counts the other DOT records sharing the value and how many of those carry a revocation, suspension or insurance cancellation in 24 months.
- Shared values are common for legitimate reasons (registered agents, shared offices, fleets with several authorities); the receipt gives counts so you can judge.
