What 'authority revoked' means
Involuntary revocation for lapsed insurance or BOC-3, voluntary revocation, and reinstatement.
What the public record shows
- FMCSA revokes operating authority involuntarily when required insurance or the BOC-3 process-agent designation is not on file after notice, and on request (voluntary revocation).
- A revoked carrier may not operate for hire; a reinstatement restores the authority and appears as its own event with a date.
- The Trust Receipt lists revocation, suspension and reinstatement events in the last 24 months with their L&I dates.

Questions
Is a reinstated carrier the same as a new one?
No; the docket keeps its history. The receipt shows the reinstatement date and treats changes in the following 90 days as post-approval changes.
