Double-brokering: what the public record can show
The FMCSA facts that correlate with re-brokered loads, and the ones no public record contains.
Double-brokering is re-tendering a load to another carrier without the paying party's consent. No FMCSA file records brokering conduct, so no public-record tool can prove it.
The adjacent facts the record does show: a carrier that also holds broker authority; identifiers shared with revoked records; a phone, email or address changed shortly after the authority was granted; an authority under 90 days old with no inspection history. CarrierDaily shows each as a sourced line, and shows community flags from other brokerages only as an anonymized count once two brokerages have flagged a DOT.
